After years of talking, plotting, planning & dreaming.. its now happening.
In 2020 & 2021 I spent a lot of the lockdown months setting up as a plant-based retreat chef. This has been a long-time dream, but having some time to completely upgrade my teensy top floor galley kitchen (with some amazing help & on a very limited budget) and tick all the necessary food safety boxes, was hugely useful. And Im now good to go.
Feeding people with delicious, nutritious, seasonal, plant-based food and drink has been a long time calling for me. I first really learned to cook when living in a casual sort of a commune in North London. Every week or so we’d volunteer to be either chef or assistant to prepare a 2-3 course meal for 15-20 people. It was a wonderful experience, sharing food together.
As a long time vegan, Ive always tried to show people the benefits of going plant-based with delicious food that leaves you feeling amazing, nourished and energised. Its not just salad leaves and celery sticks.
I will be building on the workshop and retreat days I used to teach and host before the pandemic. It was a wonderful way to end a deep yoga day: sharing teas, freshly ground coffee and range of delicous homemade treats.
We will now be able to include nourishing warm lunches to share on the longer retreat days. I will be working with some wonderfully talented talented and retreat chefs, so that each retreat day has two of us working together to give everyone a relaxing, delicious experience.
Watch this space for more information & hope you can join us.
