Santosa is one of the the Niyamas in Patanjalis 8 LImbs of Yoga. Santosa invites us into contentment by finding refuge in a calm centre, opening our hearts in gratitude for what we do have, and practicing the paradox of ‘not seeking’
For 10 days in gorgeous Somerset, we live and eat as a community, following these principles of Santosa, with everyone contributing to the peaceful & efficient running of the camp.
The dates for 2020 have now been confirmed as Friday 21 August – Sunday 30 August (with options to stay for the first or second half of the camp, or to drop in for whichever dates suit you.)
Santosa offers over FIFTY wonderful yoga and meditation and dance teachers, musicians, singers and workshop facilitators, as well as the opportunity to experience Yoga Nidra 5 times a day. Santosa offers infinite opportunities for all of us to be healed, loved and ministered to by a host of skilled therapists. To experience living as a community, with yogis of all ages. It is a wonderful experience for kids of all ages.
From dawn around the rekindled fire to evenings of kirtan in the bhakti tent, you can expect full days of inspiration, yoga, workshops, ceremony and song. Three meals of fantastic vegan food are part of your ticket price, as are a family-friendly (alcohol free) environment, and a chance to connect with like-minded people.
Yogis of every age participate in whatever ways they can. It is an experience unlike any other, be prepared for greeting your camp companions during the morning meeting, for composting toilets & wild wee-ing, for beautiful outdoor showers over-looking Glastonbury tor, a stunning wood fired sauna, for endless opportunities to expand your practice of yoga & bhakti, or to sit & chat around the fires. To become part of a truly wonderful & supportive community.
