Pranayama in Hatha Yoga - Workshop & Supper with James Russell
Pranayama - control of the breath is central to the practice of hatha yoga. Pranayama works on a subtle internal level - clearing energetic pathways (nadis) to increase the flow of vital energy - prana.
Pranayama is renowned for producing exalted states of consciousness and mental clarity. It is also highly effective in promoting relaxation and reducing stress.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to preliminary practices of kriya, charana and asana. We will explore several of the key techniques of breath control, as well as supplementary mudra practices.
This workshop is suitable for those who have some familiarity with yoga - however experience of pranayama is not required.
After practice we will share a nourishing plant based supper, tea and cake prepared by Lauren, with a chance to chat about the practices and ask questions.
